What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
No bonuses, pay needs to be much higher
Graduate, Auckland - 20 Aug 2024
Bonuses as far as I am aware of don't apply to graduates, I have heard that the pay is on par with other starting wages. I can't comment on the pay increase from 1st year to 2nd year graduates but is hoping that it is better than the 2023 graduates I wish I started accruing sick leave immediately
Graduate, Christchurch - 01 Aug 2024
Pay and pay increases are average - slightly below average for the industry.
Graduate, Auckland - 30 Jul 2024
I'm not sure how much pay increases are each year but I'm happy with my starting salary
Graduate, Hamilton - 30 Jul 2024
It seems pretty standard for graduates in NZ
Graduate, Hamilton - 30 Jul 2024
It's good, but then you compare it to Aussie.
Graduate, Hamilton - 30 Jul 2024
At the moment, the pay is a little bit of a struggle with inflation and the cost of living. On the other hand there is great opportunities for I guess you could call them bonuses through getting an encore award for your hard work when recognised.

We sign the contract the year before the minimum wage went up. So our on first year is behind the market. And second year, discuss with manager due to pay rise was not aligned with market also. So got review and adjust after. No bonus
Graduate, Wellington - 12 Jul 2024
It is on the lower end for grad salary in this role- especially for the amount of work I am doing. We don't get a pay rise until the end of the year and the new grads are coming in on such a high salary in comparison which makes me feel like I have worked hard without reaping the rewards. There are opportunities to get little bonuses which is nice- but not super common,
Graduate, Auckland - 10 Jul 2024
Starting salary as a graduate is a bit under market rates.
Graduate, Wellington - 09 Jul 2024
Our pay is aligned with the national average, and when this mark is missed the business does make sure we are compensated to meet the average. We do not receive bonuses other than prezzy cards which are provided to reflect performance and project feedback.

Good.
Graduate, Hamilton - 09 Jul 2024
The pay is around the median market rate I believe. There are no bonuses at this company, but small rewards are given out often which could be treated as small bonuses throughout the year.
Graduate, Hamilton - 09 Jul 2024
Good pay for graduates starting out, not much in terms of bonuses.
Graduate, Auckland - 10 Nov 2023
Pay was good but after review the bump was not as much as I would hope
Graduate, Christchurch - 09 Nov 2023
I haven't received a bonus and talks of bonuses aren't common. The pay is actually okay It's the taxes that's the issue.
Graduate, Auckland - 09 Nov 2023
I know its not the worst but it does not add up to the work we do and the current market !
Graduate, Auckland - 09 Nov 2023
Graduates get paid a general sump with limited wriggle room. Generally not much more than the undergraduates or first years.
Graduate, Wellington - 09 Nov 2023
I think base pay is good but there should be bonuses to aim for
Graduate, Auckland - 08 Nov 2023
It is not too bad. Very opaque and rigid in the first few years. Know one really knows about bonusses, I got a bonus but I don't know if anyone else did.

Discounts and cashback from many retails. Can claim travel insurance health insurance income insurance Well being subsidy.
Graduate, Wellington - 12 Jul 2024
- Employee benefits are pretty good, especially with wellness subsidies ($200 towards anything wellness-related. I put it towards a gym membership but other people bought activewear or headphones). - They have flexi-leave which allows you to use a public holiday as leave for another day if you work on the public holiday (which you can do from home too) - Free fruit everyday and free cookies on Friday
Graduate, Auckland - 10 Jul 2024
Free health Insurance, public holiday swap options and 50% payment towards further study.
Graduate, Wellington - 09 Jul 2024
We can purchase additional leave, which comes as a slight reduction to your pay across the year, which you can use if you run out of annual leave. If the additional leave is not used, you get this paid back to you. We get a wellness rebate and can purchase bikes and Bikes through the business and get them essentially tax free. We have pretty good parental leave policies, and access to life and health insurance through AECOM. I believe we have a lot more smaller perks that are not taken advantage of as much as others.
Graduate, Hamilton - 09 Jul 2024
Provides health benefits.
Graduate, Hamilton - 09 Jul 2024
Health insurance contribution/discount. Maybe once a year a free event/ticket to something and one team dinner. Great social environment, ability to get flu jabs at work or get a mole map. There is a generous leave policy, but as someone who plays high performance sport my leave primarily goes to tournament weeks instead of holiday leave. I have used the representative leave, but that is only for NZ rep involvement and is only 3 days so does not cover the 50+hrs of sport I play for NZ or at a regional level during the year. The only holiday I take during the year is during the Christmas period as I don't have leave holidays as I've used it for training camps/tournaments.
Graduate, Wellington - 09 Jul 2024
Best perks are the Smart Spending app where you can access lots of deals. I particularly like the cheap movie tickets; I use those often. I also enjoy Prezzy Card Rewards which are given out pretty often. More great perks are the free flu shot and free mole map/skin check. I also really appreciate the 8 hours paid volunteer leave; that's pretty cool. Also, another great perk is you can get $60 reimbursed for personal travel insurance, as someone who travels at least 2 times a year for holiday this has come in very hand. Another great perk is the purchased leave scheme, again if you like to travel or take additional leave (more than the allocated annual leave) you can purchase leave which is great for budgeting and forecasting your personal spending against your salary.
