Be part of Ampol's excellent 2-year program within their retail division. As a Merchandise Graduate, you’ll have the unique opportunity to dive into a breadth of experience across category management, promotions, market and customer analytics, store layouts, and financial planning.
This is your chance to gain a deep understanding of how an ASX-listed business operates end to end and how Ampol manages a large range of merchandise suppliers.
To be successful, you will be entering your final year of study in 2024 or completed your undergraduate within the last two years and will be available to commence full-time employment in February 2025. Ampol seeks individuals who showcase complex problem-solving capabilities, and strong technical skills and enjoy working in a team environment.
The Merchandise Graduate will be a well-rounded individual who can bridge the gap between commercial and operational aspects. For this reason, candidates who have retail work experience in supermarkets and convenience, fast food restaurants, or general merchandise are highly preferred. Candidates that have Microsoft Excel or Power BI experience will be highly regarded but this is not essential. You will have excellent academic results, be curious to learn, and be eager to develop your professional career.
The graduate benefits are designed to propel your career forward while ensuring your personal and professional well-being. Here are some of the benefits you can expect to receive as a participant in the graduate program:
Hired on a permanent full-time basis, you’ll complete 6-month rotations across the respective business units where you will learn and develop under the guidance of the Leaders and teams. Ampol Leaders bring strong technical expertise, cross-functional experience, and a commercial focus that propels their business forward and they are dedicated to passing on their knowledge to the next generation, which could be you.
