Graduate teachers working at one of BCE's various primary, secondary or P-12 Colleges are well supported. Working in one of our BCE schools you will be supported through our 3-year Early Career Teacher program which includes:

  • Remuneration packages starting from $75,470 per annum + super
  • Dedicated experienced teacher mentors
  • 8 days or 96 hours of release time per year for first and second-year graduates (EQ offer 90mins per week or 58.5 hours per year)

Our rural schools include great *incentives such as accommodation, food allowances and financial incentives for each year you work! Work for 2 years in a rural community and we are confident you'll want to stay, however, if you don't we will find you a position in an area of your choice. All BCE teachers are required to:

  • Demonstrate Brisbane Catholic Education values: Excellence, Integrity, Hope, Justice
  • Have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos, charisms, and traditions of the Catholic faith
  • Hold current registration as a Teacher with the Queensland College of Teachers
  • Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
