Management at Cochlear

I couldn't believe the generosity of the vps, they spent considerable time answering my questions. They are very transparent and clearly care about the wellbeing of staff at all levels

My managers are mostly accessible, but it does depend on project to project. Sometimes, i've noticed that i need to plan in advance if their schedule is busy (i. E. Book meetings a week or two weeks ahead). They do make good mentors in how their approach communication, feedback and recognition. My most recent manager has often checked in with me and asked how i am and has given me direct feedback on my performance and my proactiveness on my work

Most managers are quite welcoming and helpful, as an engineer you will be asking them a lot of questions. But it's important to note that they likely have double or triple your workload and they may not get back to you promptly. Other than that, everyone at the company is quite nice and willing to talk with you about any issues you may have or just to talk

Internal communication is transparent, clear and supportive. Managers are very accessible via teams messages and meetings and have regularly scheduled 1-1s. Recognition could be more publicly given

All managers for each graduate rotation so far have been great when i ask for help. I have never been turned down and they often give helpful advice/feedback
