Recruitment process

For undergraduate students looking to jump-start their careers, Cummins offers several 6-month or 12-month part-time/full-time internships. The interns will remain enrolled as an undergraduate in the final year of their studies during the internship.

To apply for the internship or permanent roles, the candidates need to submit their resume, cover letter, and academic transcript via a link provided on their site. If you are shortlisted, the recruiter will call and ask a few questions, send the detailed job description, and set up the interview process which can be slightly different from time to time.

It can involve a pre-recorded video interview where you would record your answers to questions sent to you by email. Or, you might be invited directly to a face-to-face meeting that consists of a behavioural interview that asks the standard questions, followed by a technical interview that is fairly straightforward.

You will meet with senior managers and HR, and they basically assess your common skills and requirements of the job you are applying for. The hiring process also includes police checks and medicals. If you succeed, you will receive a job offer.
