What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
Pay seems suitable for my current position.
Intern, Hamilton - 29 Oct 2023
I am on a Salary so I receive no bonuses. I am above the living wage and am grateful for this. I was surprised to discover that there is great variants in the salary for graduates. It is also surprising to find out that when we are on night shifts we do not get the same perks as wage workers. e.g. night shift allowance, away from home allowance, travel allowance.

Haven't heard of bonuses whilst I have been here. I was hoping for more than a 2% salary increase this year with the cost of living haven risen much higher since I started, and it would be nice if these were explained and discussed more, but regardless I appreciate the increase.

Pay would be good if I only worked 40 hours. Bonuses included are very good with health insurance and other stuff included.

Graduate, Christchurch - 20 Oct 2023
Pay for a grad engineer is pretty shit, most of my mates at similar positions are making 5-15,000 more than I am and aren't putting in nearly the amount of hours. As for bonuses, yeah don't think grads get those despite the work we put in for projects. If we do, I haven't seen it yet

It is well structured. I believe my hard work will be paid off.

I think my company pays a lot to grad but still living cost is too much
Graduate, Christchurch - 19 Oct 2023
The base rate is good however there is no incentive for working overtime/working weekends.
Graduate, Auckland - 19 Oct 2023
Never received a bonus... So not that happy about it if I'm honest. And my pay increase was quite small compared to what I am worth. It didn't help that my department manager doesn't really know how I work so relied on someone else who doesn't know how I work from WTPA to judge my performance. Wasn't happy about how it went.
