2021 Summer Internship – Tasmania (Nov 2021)

As an undergraduate in GHD, you will be provided with practical, on the job experience within a technical field aligned to your studies and where possible, to your aspirational career path. You will also have opportunities to build your networks and learn from and work with some of GHD's best and brightest professionals.

Where possible, you'll have the opportunity to connect with our recent graduates and our broader Young Professionals and Women in GHD networks to learn from their experiences to help decide whether GHD is the right place to start your graduate career.

To help facilitate transitions into our Graduate program, our internship experience is designed for students in their penultimate, or second-to-last year of studies, however, is open to students from earlier years as well.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for students who will be continuing their studies next year in a Bachelor or post-graduate qualification. In Tasmania, we will have opportunities for students within the following business groups. To help understand your interests, our application process will allow you to nominate two areas that you may wish to gain exposure to:

• Energy (Transmission & Distribution, Substation Engineering, Renewables)
• Resources (Materials Handling, Tailings & Dams)
• Environmental (Contaminated Land, Ecology, Flora & Fauna, Environmental Assessment & Planning)
• Transport (Roads, Rail, Bridges, Traffic & Transport Planning, Geotechnical Engineering, Pavements)
• Water (Hydrology, Surface Water, Pipeline design & water Civil infrastructure)
• Property & Buildings (which includes Architecture, Interior design as well as Building Services Engineering & Building Structures)
• Project Management - Controls & Contracts Management, External PM services

All our summer internship position commence in late November / early December (depending on your exam timetable) and will run across the summer break in a full time capacity until late February.
