Salary at GHD

no bonuses, pay is good but slightly below market

Very limited pay progression while you are a graduate. A lot of young professionals leave to similar companies and make much more.

Consulting just doesn't pay as well as working for an operator, but whilst I really wanted to work at GHD for the projects and culture, when applying for grad positions, I did seriously consider taking a role in a company I was less excited about but who paid significantly more. GHD seems to be in the mid-range of consultants for grad positions at least, and did offer me a moving bonus which helped sell me as I appreciate both the financial bonus and the recognition that pay is important and we are not wrong to want to seek a good salary as well as an interesting role. I don't know much about pay after the grad program, or if GHD has any consistent bonuses for employees.

No bonuses so far but pay is okay

Bonuses would be great, especially if deliverables exceeded expectations. A lot of overtime is often done to meet these.

The company is very fair in it's pay structure. Graduates are well paid comparative to other similar roles, however additional hours worked are not charged as over-time but rather time in lieu. This means no bonuses are offered.

We get a decent salary in the grand scheme of things but I feel it is on the low end of what engineers could expect. There are no bonuses that I'm aware of.

Pay is low compared to other companies.

Pay is average and would prefer it to be higher based off other salaries I have heard of from uni cohort. Companies values are good enough though that its a trade off. Havent heard about any bonuses.

The bonuses for graduates should be relevant to perfomance

While I am just a graduate, pay isn't extremely competitive and I think is one reason why a number of graduates leave after a couple of years. I think pay progression/bonuses could be more competitive if they hope to retain more graduates.

Although I have been happy with my pay so far, it is not remarkable by industry comparison in my opinion, and I expect appropriate increases as I move through my career and up the corporate ladder.

I feel that the pay is at a good, competitive rate, especially for graduates coming straight out of uni. I don't know if there are bonuses at GHD.

I think my pay is good for an entry level position. No bonuses really at GHD.

I was not aware there is a bonus at GHD (at least at my level). I think the pay is quite low compared to industry ($83,000) for a Graduate Environmentalist. Due to inflation, I think the pay should be higher.

I am a literal scientist, (albeit a graduate), but I still struggle to feed my kids and pay my mortgage. That isn't so much a symptom of GHD underpaying it's staff and more a symptom of large corporations making big profit margins and huge mark-ups.

I think the pay for the graduates is fair. Although I think the graduates who go above and beyond to should be recognised more.

There could be more benefits. Pay could be more competitive. Benefits aren't made too clear.

GHD's social clubs host great events on a fairly regular basis which are always free for employees and help to make the company a great place to work. GHD's purchase leave policy is good and lets you take additional time off with no judgement if you wish

There is always left over food from meetings, so I save money and just eat the meetings left-overs.

I got a discount gym membership through GHD at Goodlife, which was very good.

The purchase leave program where we can sacrifice some pre-tax pay for more annual leave offers more work-life balance and flexibility (although if pay were higher would be more attainable). Additionally, at times vouchers are awarded for good performance etc.

I'm not too sure about the perks we get through the company

Generous working overseas policy, free lunches sometimes and events.

GHD will quite regularly hold outside events. Also some Christmas activities which are fun. The young professionals also have a fully paid seminar once a year which is fun.

Paid leave program is good, you can take up to 8 weeks leave per year by purchasing up to an extra 4 weeks leave per year

None that i use. Leave policies are generous however (can take as much as needed in my team option to buy more leave or just take leave without pay)

Potential for work related travel

No perks are unusually good. Discounts for expensive rental companies (still more expensive than alternatives), discounts for gyms and health insurance (10-20% I believe). Free work polo haha.
