Pros and cons of working at Johnstaff

Pros

  • Caring company who cares more about it's people than profit.

  • Johnstaff works within a niche market, offering the opportunity to work on a wide range of unique projects.

  • The best thing is that Johnstaff would push you to reach your career milestones and push you to do better.

  • Daily challenges of on-site work.

  • Johnstaff outlines a commitment to diversity in the workplace with emphasis on involving more women in the Construction industry

Cons

    • Can require long hours to meet deadlines.

    • The job comes with a lot of responsibility and is quite dynamic, meaning there is always a lot to keep on top of. At times, it can be difficult to switch off at the end of the day from the many moving parts of the project.

    • The worst thing probably is that work comes and goes in waves. You might be very busy one week and then fairly free the other.

    • Travel requirements for projects if you are site based.

    • Working in the Construction Consultancy industry is challenging. However, I honestly can't think of a negative aspect of working for Johnstaff that is company-related.
