As a participant of the two year Lendlease Graduate Program you will be supported through a rotating structured learning and development program, dynamic managers, various on the job activities, networking and social events – allowing you to build lasting relationships with both senior leaders and fellow graduates.
We already know some things we need to do better today - greater efficiency, better applying our learning and delivering a consistent quality experience for our customers on every project.
Put simply, Practices is a new, formalised approach at Lendlease that will align Global strategic priorities across our regional businesses and create global networks of people to share knowledge to improve project outcomes.
By focusing on key Products and Capabilities that underpin Lendlease's future strategic direction, Practices aims to provide a return to the business through Gross Profit Margin (revenue or cost), efficiency (time) and minimising risk (repeat issues).
As Practices is a relatively new way of working at Lendlease essentially you are assisting drive forward a cultural change that will help us leverage our people's knowledge to accelerate our development and deliver our pipeline.

We are searching for students from a range of academic backgrounds which may include or have related degrees in business, commerce, law, property economics, urban planning, design, marketing and communication. You will enjoy interacting with a diverse range of individuals, be motivated by challenge and change whilst being driven to deliver results through your resourcefulness.

I like how varied my day to day responsibilities are and how they allow me to work with different people with different skills and expertise.
As a temporary undergrad role, I felt like I was often floating about and would have preferred a higher degree of responsibility.
Largely part of the fit out team, I have been responsible for building/pushing programmes, ensuring works are meeting technical specs., documenting quality and sequencing works for partitions, waterproofing, painting and frames/doors. On top of this, I have had exposure to commercial roles through assessing variation claims for subcontractors on-site.

Pros and cons of working at Lendlease
Pros
Projects are very interesting and exciting. Systems are well defined, rigorous, and make sense most of the time. People are smart and passionate about the industry.
Everyone is understanding of my lack of knowledge in the industry due to lack of experience. They are welcoming and willing to teach the basics about construction.
Getting assigned to different roles/areas of the business which helps provide myself more information on the various areas and give me an idea on what area I would want to pursue in the future
Cons
Long hours
I think the worst thing for me personally is the commute, I spend upwards of 2.5 hours driving per day and if I was to take Public transport it would be 4 hours. However I do have a good understanding of sacrifice and believe it is worth it.
I would like to receive more feedback.
