As a Customer Operations Team Member, you'll be joining a flexible and multi-skilled team whose core focus is to ensure our customer experience is of the highest standard. You'll undertake various business placements aligned to supporting our customers and bankers. Whilst each placement may differ in length, each will provide you with the valuable product, systems and lending knowledge that are foundational for building your banking career at NAB.

In order to build the required skills and capabilities to succeed at NAB, Customer Operations Team Members will gain experience in various parts of the customer journey. The placements will be centred on servicing our customers within both contact centres and various back-office teams. Placements may include supporting customers calling our contact centre with everyday banking needs, assisting customers who may be experiencing vulnerability in managing their financial obligations, loan document preparation, settlements, drawdown and post-settlement activities.

At least one placement will be in one of NAB's Contact Centre Teams where you will learn our core products and systems by providing support to customers over the phone. This placement will require you to work a rotating roster between Monday – Friday 8 am – 7 pm, Saturday 7 am – 6 pm & Sunday 9 am – 6 pm.

Cons

    • Sometimes we have to navigate lots of old tech and systems.

    • Because it’s such a large organization, it can be tricky to know the ins and outs of what each function does, but that comes with time, experience and exposure.

    • Sometimes have to work long hours.

    • There were lots of stages of the interview process

    • We don’t get any bonuses. Apparently they used to but they stopped a few years back.
