We currently have an exciting entry-level role for recent Finance Graduates to be involved and learn about the end-to-end operation of Police Bank’s operation. This role will be a great opportunity for graduates ready to expand their skillsets, and be part of the banks transformation towards our digital future.
We are looking for someone who has recently graduated with a relevant degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting with a demonstrated curiosity about the day-to-day activities and a focus on process improvement. If this sounds like you, keep reading!
What will you be doing?
- Providing accurate, confidential and professional accounting and operational accounting support across the Finance Division
- Accurate and timely processing and payment of all invoices
- Provide support to the Finance Manager, and Financial Controller with month ends
- Demonstrate lateral thinking when completing day-to-day tasks and problem solving
- Supporting with month ends, accounts payable, maintenance of fixed asset register and operating accounting tasks
The ideal candidate will have:
- Recently graduated with a relevant degree in Commerce/Finance/Accounting
- Demonstrated high level of digital literacy skills
- High attention to detail
- Detailed understanding of MS Office programs
The following skills are an advantage:
- Excellent stakeholder engagement in working with a range of departments and levels of an organisation
- Commencement of the CPA/CA program

Pros
Nice culture, everyone is very welcoming and management seems to have a genuine interest in my career.
General exposure to a number of different areas of business as it is a smaller business than large corporations.
The opportunity and exposure to work on multiple projects.

The team culture is great, and overall a nice work environment.
Cons
I'd say the only negative would be the salary being quite low in comparison to the industry average and for my department there being limited progression to a higher role.
Smaller business also comes with more workload when taking on additional tasks.
The salary is very low
