At Toll Group, our two-year Graduate Program within our Government and Defence division is designed to develop future leaders across our Aviation business based out of Sydney.

Our program offers:

  • Up to four rotations over two years that will provide you with exposure to various teams within our Government & Defence division that manages our Aviation services,  such as design organisation, project engineering, maintenance control, safety and quality assurance and finance and operations.

Qualifications

We encourage you to apply if you…

  • Are an Australian citizen
  • Are a recent graduate within the last two years or are completing your studies by the end of the year
  • Are able to commence the graduate program in February 2025
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle
  • Have tertiary qualifications in Aeronautical Engineering, analytics or aviation
  • Have a passion to build a career in the logistics industry

I have been assigned to one of the business units that the Healthcare Operation in Sydney look after. My role entails essentially capturing and recording data and processes that have not been previously, and creating documents such as Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.

In charge of creating 4PL's, presentations, external service flyers & advertisements. Ongoing document updating, gathering important info, speaking between employees and external parties, created a file filled with content for team etc.

Pros and cons of working at Toll Group

Pros

  • The team I have are so helpful

  • 3 days WFH (potentially more depending on your team) - flexibility to start when you want - given lots of opportunities and experiences - friendly and caring co-workers

  • Above average salary

  • Toll has offered an incredibly supportive environment to start my career. In the months that I have been with Toll, they have ensured that I have been aptly trained and given all the information I need to succeed in my placements. Furthermore, the placement managers and operational staff are extremely welcoming and while giving guidance trust that I am able to do the work that they include me on. I have already been able to submit work that has benefitted their operations.

Cons

    • This is the first year Toll is having technology graduates and therefore it is quite boring since there isn't much to do

    • The only issue is that you may have to travel a fair bit. The nature of Toll is fairly industrial, with some corporate elements. This means however outside of Head office and Regional management offices, the sites you may work at require some bit of travel, as most industrial area's are on the outskirts of cities.
