Start your career journey where you are empowered to achieve the extraordinary!

The Visagio Talent Internship Program is looking for extraordinary students to be part of Australia's best consulting team. If you are an innovative, creative thinker with strong analytical skills and a passion for making positive changes through our clients' projects, this is the place for you.

We are searching for penultimate or final-year university students with majors in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Physics, Finance, Business or related disciplines.

As a Visagio intern, you will be given a chance to display your skills in critical thinking, passion for problem-solving, and excellent oral and written communication skills to engage with diverse audiences within your project team and client. Familiarity and interest in programming languages are desired but not required.

The program offers an ongoing paid part-time position (minimum of 20 hours per week) with real work experience in your study area. We also offer flexible work arrangements for you to fit around university commitments throughout the semester, with the opportunity to continue after that.

Domestic and international students based in Perth (WA) and Sydney (NSW) are welcome to apply.

Important message for final-year students: You can apply for the Internship Program or the Graduate Program. If you apply for the graduate program, you will not be considered in the internship recruitment process. But if you are successful in the graduate recruitment process, you will be offered the opportunity to join us part-time while you complete your studies (the choice is yours).

How to apply

The Visagio Talent Internship Program is open for applications from 3 February (Monday) to 2 April 2025 (Wednesday), at 11.59 pm (AWST).

We have two streams: Management and Technology.

  • Apply for Management if you study Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Finance, Business or related disciplines.
  • Apply for Technology if you study Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Actuarial Science or related disciplines.

This internship application process consists of three phases: online test/video submissions, assessment centre (Perth candidates only) and interviews.

Keep an eye on the dates below:

Online test/video submissions period: 3 April (Thursday) to 10 April (Thursday) at 11.59 pm (AWST)
Assessment Centre: 2 May (Friday) - Perth candidates only
Phone and in-person interviews: May

Online test/Video submissions

When the test opens, you will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to complete it. The evaluation is mandatory to validate your application in the recruitment process and must be carried out within the specific date window - no exceptions will be considered.

The online test consists of a proctored test and must be done in one sitting (75 minutes in length). It is based on GMAT questions requiring critical reasoning and logical analysis of business cases.

Visagio will also ask candidates to upload a video answering pre-determined questions as a part of the online test. Videos are reviewed alongside resume and university transcript as part of our screening process.

To find out more about how to prepare for the online test, visit our Visagio Talent web page at www.visagiotalent.com.

  • Perth candidates: Successful applicants will receive an invitation to attend the assessment centre.
  • Sydney candidates: Successful applicants will receive an invitation to a phone interview.

Assessment Centre (Perth candidates only)

Candidates will be split into groups to resolve and present a business case study within a defined time frame. Applicants from both technology and management consultant streams will be mixed, working on the same case. We ask you to free up your schedule for the day, as the whole process will likely run for 4 to 5 hours.

TIP: During the assessment centre, make sure you have clear assumptions that align with the case and explain your line of thinking cohesively to the assessor.

Phone and In-person interviews

Successful applicants will first be interviewed by phone. Candidates who pass this stage will be invited to a 50-minute in-person interview with Visagio partners and consultants. Successful candidates typically start shortly after the recruitment process concludes.

TIP: Good communication skills help you stand out and share your ideas clearly with interviewers. Demonstrating an interest in the company and understanding our core values will also put you a step ahead.

As a Technology Consultant Intern at Visagio, my primary responsibility is to support my team in driving project success by actively contributing to discussions and helping to develop tailored solutions for specific client challenges. A key part of my role is listening, learning, and gaining insights into what it takes to become an effective consultant. We hold daily meetings each morning, where we discuss project updates, review individual tasks and responsibilities, and explore ways to enhance our approach and outcomes. This consistent communication ensures that we remain aligned and proactive in delivering high-quality results to our clients.

Pros and cons of working at Visagio

Pros

  • The most rewarding aspect of working at Visagio is the deeply collaborative and supportive culture.

  • The company is highly flexible and accommodating, particularly given my status as a part-time employee and full-time university student.

  • You are straight away thrown into doing real, important work as an intern and work on actual projects with clients which is great!

  • There is a very clear flat hierarchy, and from day one you are able to interact with everyone, no matter how long they have been around.

  • The company takes diversity really seriously, and itโ€™s reflected in hiring and initiatives to increase diversity.

Cons

    • Only two offices in Australia, Perth and Sydney, would be great to open one in Melbourne.

    • Some partners are accessible some are not. Some can be good mentors but some are too busy.

    • The pay could be a little more competitive since it operates very lean.

    • As an early career starter, I believe getting experience with a wider range of projects is important.

    • Better onboarding program and structure would be helpful.
