What helped me was to do a review ( and make note of) of outstanding scenarios in the workplace with regards to initiative, safety and engineering, this can aid in answering specific questions at the time rather than trying to recall the details on the spot.

Ensure that you read up on the STAR method. Know what type of company you are getting into and what they do. Prepare by going over practice interview questions and of course try not to be nervous and just have a conversation with the interviewers.
