Post Anesthetic Care Unit

My role as a nurse is to provide care for my patients such as monitoring vital signs providing the right medications that are prescribed. Ensure the wounds are healing well

Icc's and UWSD, Hi flow, medication management, ecgs, cannulation, picc lines, etc

It is busy, fast paced with little room for error Time management and communication skills must be exceptional A very high standard of both care and knowledge is expected

I am a new grad RN, level 2 and a fulltime. My usual shift are PMs, I am an advocate to my pts. I notify the vmo/cmo if there is a problem and my responsibility also is to give meds and give quality care to my pts.

My day to day involves working as data analyst in Supply Chain Management. I am in charge of completing the supply packs which involves identifying and recommending cost saving opportunities for hospitals with high supply costs.

We don't have time to care for our pts safely. Constantly feeling like you're on the back foot and asking for help is on deaf ears.

All responsibilities as per a 1.2 RN.

I love my role but wish I wasn't in recovery as much I prefer being I. Anaesthetics

Patient / Nurse ratio makes enjoying the job very difficult. It's so transactional because I have to rush off to the next job. Very little time for genuine patient care outside of essential clinical care and very little human interaction for graduate nurse. Without competencies makes job very difficult but no allocated time to do competencies, have to do in own personal time with no pay (grossly unfair).

I am thoroughly enjoying my current role in Responsible Sourcing. I take part in global meetings, create presentations, work with external stakeholder and manage Ramsay's CSR platforms.

I conduct mobility review, monitor chest, provid strengthening and conditioning exercises and balance training. I assess patients function and provide treatments accordingly. I assist with discharge planning. I see patients after operations as per surgeons orders.

Anaesthetics and recovery

I am a graduate registered Nurse working as a mental health nurse. I have various responsibilities to play as a nurse there such as provide care to patients and be a support to my team members.

Physiotherapist in rehab

Acting as a project manager to carry out pilot studies in day oncology units at sites. Planning timelines and workshops to engage with exec and nursing managers at site level.
