Pros & Cons
The opportunity to get involved in meaningful projects and learn from peers, no matter how new you are. There is a tremendous amount of support provided by both managers and peers to help you grow and learn.
Work hours are exceptionally flexible. Working from home is greatly appreciated as it allows me to maximize my personal life experience alongside work commitments.
I believe the culture at Steadfast is outstanding. I have not met anyone who has not been genuine or inviting to me in the workplace.
Being able to kickstart my career with industry experts as my mentors and guides.
Steadfast is overflowing with CSR initiatives. It feels like every other week I get an email about new opportunities to give back to the community.
I believe the 6-week rotations were too short, and the three-month rotations are better. However, if you are placed in a rotation you love, you want to stay longer.
As the only intern in my department, I feel somewhat isolated from the rest of the company, especially with other interns who are the same age as me.
It would be nice to have more extensive showers or gym facilities to be provided. The office could use a facelift or move to a newer building.
With the cost of living increasing and me being completely independent in Sydney, I would like to be earning more.
Steadfast has made some commitments to the environment, but like every company, more can always be done.

As an actuarial student, this internship is the perfect opportunity to advance my career. I now have a head start in the actuarial and insurance industry.
The office space is a very productive environment. Being in the centre of the Sydney CBD, the company building is easy to get to and most enjoyable to visit every week.
