Theta Graduate Programs & Internships

  • Technology

Some of the best and brightest in the industry work for us, and we're always on the lookout for fresh new talent that can grow with us.

We know everyone out there wants the best of the best, so why choose us?

On top of being an innovative and creative workplace, we pride ourselves on our diverse and inclusive culture. It's what makes us.

Grow, grow, grow

We offer a challenging and stimulating work environment that encourages participation and innovation and provides many opportunities for professional development. If there's something we can do to support you in your role and enhance your skills, let's make it happen!

Think differently

Our people are problem solvers who can translate tech-speak into 'real world' terms (and vice versa). Most importantly, they show a genuine interest in our customers' businesses and are pros at communicating the value of technology. Being surrounded by people who think laterally is a great thing.

Feel at home

We have a 'Theta family' theme running strong throughout. Here's why we love to work at Theta:

"Theta provides a supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to strive for excellence. It's a great place to work."

"Whenever we asked someone anything, they were really patient and happy to help. I think that says a lot about the company and atmosphere."

"Some people love technology. For me, it's more about the intellectual challenge - figuring out what the problem is and how to solve it."

Inclusive and diverse

We're proud to have an inclusive and diverse workforce who broaden our perspectives and help us recognise and appreciate the cultures around us. By better reflecting the diverse world in which we live, we're able to build better teams and generate better outcomes as a result. This past year, we were represented by 36 nationalities, with 56 languages and dialects.

We believe all voices should be heard and frequently seek feedback from our entire team around business decisions that directly impact them. Further, as part of our commitment to equity, inclusion and diversity, we invest in programmes that help create a fairer world. This includes enrolling on the Microsoft-supported Women Rising programme, internship programmes designed for Māori & Pasifika students and the First Foundation scholarship.

Help make an impact

It's not just about getting the job done; we care about making a difference too. Since 2008, we've raised money for Cure Kids through adventure racing, international lunches, auctions, team events and heaps more. We have plenty going on that you can be involved with – Te Ao Māori sessions, team challenges, and sustainability initiatives. How can you help us make a difference in the world?

Live the Kiwi dream

North, south, or somewhere in between, we offer flexible working both in the office and from home. If that sounds like the kind of place you'd like to be, we want to hear from you!

What Graduates Say About Them
  • The first plus point is I got to work on a real code and product quite early in the program. Some of my classmates who are doing their internship at other companies said they spend the majority of their time reading documentation, which is not my preference. The second plus point is my mentor gives clear instructions and well explanations on the tasks and is always happy to answer any questions. I got enough attention from the mentor and never feel left out. I also got good support from team members. And finally, the friendly working environment at Theta.
  • Recycle system - Theta doing great job on environmental protection
  • Theta values improvement of their employees. There are various initiatives that Theta offer to employees to help their work progression. Theta also celebrates the successes of their employees, whether that be personal or work-related.
  • Exciting projects to work on and the company has a great focus on people and wellbeing.
  • Flexibility around working from home, and support when I need it.
  • Very supportable and helpful. Provides opportunities for real industry projects.
  • I am only here for a short amount of time so really can't think of anything bad at the moment.
  • Working from home a lot at the moment.
  • Some miscommunication around expectations, and about requirements that interns have on a day to day basis.
