Our Commitment

RSM is deeply committed to fostering diversity and inclusion, particularly in relation to LGBTQ+ individuals. We understand that creating an inclusive workplace is essential for everyone to feel comfortable and accepted. Our commitment extends to providing a supportive environment where staff, clients, and industry contacts can be themselves without fear of discrimination. We firmly believe in promoting LGBTQ+ rights and advocating for equal treatment and opportunities for all people.

Our Actions

To demonstrate our commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion, RSM actively engages in various initiatives and events. We embrace Pride Month, with many offices participating in internal celebrations. These events allow us to show our support for LGBTQ+ rights and create a visible presence in the community. Additionally, we organise informative workshops in collaboration with organisations like Queer Town, focusing on fostering inclusive communication and behaviour towards diverse gender and sexual identities. These actions serve to educate and empower our staff, clients, and industry contacts.

Our Progress

Our journey towards diversity and inclusion is ongoing, but we are proud of the welcoming and inclusive culture we have at RSM. We have created an inclusive workplace culture where individuals can be their authentic selves, enabling open conversations about their whole lives. This progress is evident in our ongoing commitment to create a supportive environment for LGBTQ+ individuals, as seen in our policies, training programs, and employee resource groups. While we recognize that there is always room for improvement, we are proud of the strides we have made in fostering an inclusive and affirming workplace for all.

UTS acknowledges the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation, the Boorooberongal people of the Dharug Nation, the Bidiagal people and the Gamaygal people upon whose ancestral lands our university stands. We would also like to pay respect to the Elders both past and present, acknowledging them as the traditional custodians of knowledge for these lands.
