LGBTQ+ at Powerlink Queensland

Promoting Respect, Inclusion, Diversity & Equality.

We are committed to creating a workforce that reflects the community we serve and supports our people to be the best they can be. Powerlink's Diversity and Inclusion Communities of Practice (COP) are an important way to raise awareness and promote diversity and inclusion at Powerlink. They are open for everyone to join.

Pride in Power's purpose is to build a visible network of supportive allies to educate, empower and raise awareness of the LGBTIQA+ community within Powerlink. It is all about:

Promoting Respect, Inclusion, Diversity & Equality.

Everyone at Powerlink deserves to feel seen, supported and valued for who they are; for there is Pride in Power and Power in Pride.

“I am an engineer by qualification and a diversity, equity and inclusion advocate by choice. I am a queer woman of colour and I am passionate about uplifting underrepresented voices and creating safe spaces where everyone feels respected, embraced and empowered to bring their whole selves to work.”

- Janhavi Kale, Team Leader Systems Design and PRIDE in Power COP Member

At Powerlink we are committed to cultivating an inclusive culture where people can feel safe to bring their whole self to work and feel valued for their diverse perspectives. We are excited about our membership with ACON’s Pride in Diversity Program to continue our journey of fostering LGBTQIA+ inclusion in our organisation.
