Management at Powerlink Queensland

7.8
7.8 rating for Management, based on 19 reviews
How accessible are managers and do they make good mentors? You may want to address internal communication, performance feedback or praise and recognition.
Direct managers are nice and supportive but are often very busy and not always accessible. Higher level management is not accessible and very rarely communicate with staff. Most support comes from team leaders and team members.

The manages are incredibly accessible, with many being super helpful with years of industry experience making for amazing mentors. They constantly assess your progress and are open with praise and commendation for hard work.

Managers have all been very approachable and happy to share their experiences and lessons learnt.

Some team leaders/managers are great and encouraging. I've heard that some managers can be stubborn and not necessarily as forthcoming or cooperative.

I am very happy with my immediate managers and happy with the senior management at the company.

My team leaders and managers are always at work, and if not, they're only an email, or phone call away. They're always happy to answer my questions and help support my role within their team. They regularly offer performance feedback and if you perform well, you occasionally receive unsolicited positive recognition.

The managers are generally very knowledgeable, intelligent and caring people.

Managers are usually very busy but always make time
Graduate, Brisbane
The managers are okay. The dissemination of information is structured and is filtered from the top. Sometimes the managers make judgments on what information staff receives and consequently some staff miss out in the news. My current manager is insistent on teasing everyone which is hardly inspiring but the manager does lead by example in terms of his attitude towards work.

Some teams are better than others but generally it has been very positive and miles better than previous companies.

Haven't had much to do with my manager

At the moment, managers seem very busy and perhaps have their hands full with things to do - so it's been hard to get good one-on-one chats in.

I think they are very busy at the moment. I haven't had much luck when asking them for help or feedback. but it is understandable
