What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
High starting salary with pay progression happening every 6 months on top of a yearly pay rise. No bonuses but there is a yearly gainsharing payment.
Graduate, Brisbane
The pay is at industry standard. The workload, work life balance and the people make it seem better than industry standard. As for bonuses, they vary depending on which agreement you are on (WAPA, TEC)

The pay for a graduate position is competitive but still less then our direct competitor Ergon. It is also less then mining companies. the pay progression scale as a graduate is a good idea & gives you a reward for your achievements. The bonus as a graduate is small to say the least at about 0.5% of your yearly salary. I was expecting at least 5%. I am hoping this is only a graduate thing...

As a power utility I thought we should get a reduction in the energy bill. We are a part of the energy bill. It is unusual we don't get any reduction. The best perk is having no forced redundancies, so they essentially can't fire you after your probation period.
